​Mission Statement:  The Fort Davis Alabama Historical Society is committed to the vision of restoring and preserving the history and culture of the Fort Davis Community. This mission includes the restoration and preservation of the Fort Davis Railroad Depot, the Fort Davis Community House (formerly the Fort Davis School Building), and the Fort Davis United Methodist Church, which were the cornerstones of the Fort Davis Community in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Fort Davis Alabama Historical Society is also committed to raising public awareness and involvement in the preservation of the history and culture of the Fort Davis Community.
