Finally, after many months of fundraising, we are excited to report of the first work being done on the depot. Yesterday, RamJack came out and poured some cement footings for the depot. This is the first step toward stabilizing the foundation. Prior to this a couple weeks ago they came with a backhoe and dug a trench to allow water to drain from under the depot. This was badly needed. Over the years the terrain had changed which allowed water to accumulate under the building which is never a good thing to happen. It may be hard to see, but if you look close you will see the gray mounds of cement just under the sides of the building. This is the ditch they dug previously to drain the water from under the building. As you can see, this is just the beginning. Please help us continue this project by your donations. We would appreciate it.

Since the yard sale in October, there was another yard sale in November. Both of these combined to raise funds of around $3,000 for the Depot Restoration. Here is a picture of one of our hard working volunteers, Mrs. Mae Dean Jordan. Seriously, this woman outlasted me. These yard sales took a whole host of volunteers of which we could not have been successful with all their efforts. Thank you to everyone!
