Word from Beverly Callaway (Fort Davis Historical Society Member):  "We had a few old power poles on our property that I thought would work for what we needed to do with the signal pole and our friend David Beezley, who has a sawmill, said he’d cut it for us."

We are glad to present the following pictures of progress being made today at the time of this post.  Inch by inch and step by step, the depot restoration is becoming a reality.

Many thanks to the Davis families for organizing and promoting a Turkey Hunt Raffle with the winner to have a three day hunt on the 5D Cattle Company - 500 acre ranch.  Twenty-one tickets were sold for $25 each for a $525 profit for the depot restoration project.   The drawing was held on March 6 and the Congratulations goes to Daniel Rich-the winner!
