Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony

“On Saturday, November 7th, the FDAHS held a dedication ceremony for the newly-erected historical marker for the Fort Davis Depot. The Society welcomed approximately 30 members and guests to the event. Guests enjoyed donuts and coffee as they socialized and posed for pictures with the marker. The Society also welcomed special guest Jay Lamar with the Alabama 200 Committee, who was instrumental in procuring the grant for the purchase of the marker. Following a brief presentation, the marker was dedicated to the citizens of Fort Davis and South Macon County.”
